Dr Adrian Shatte is a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University's Discipline of Information Technology. His teaching interests cover software engineering, mobile application design and development, and human-computer interaction. His program of research includes harnessing social media and m-health to predict, monitor and intelligently intervene in a range of mental health contexts, user experience of personalised, app-based health interventions, and computer-supported collaborative work applied to higher education and distributed emergency management. Adrian completed his PhD at James Cook University QLD, followed by significant experience in academic and technical roles at Monash, Deakin and Federation Universities. His work has been funded by both Category 1 and industry partnerships, including MRFF Million Minds, Australian Government Innovations Connections, Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria, Gippsland Primary Health Network, and the City of Casey.
