About

Dr Kai Qin Chan graduated from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands with a PhD in Social Cognition, and prior to that, he earned his masters and bachelors degree in psychology from National University of Singapore. He obtained several grants, including those by the National Council for Problem Gambling, and the Centre for Social and Behavioural Change Communication.

He has a strong interest in emotions, particularly in disgust, which eventually developed into an interest in (novel) food ("why are people disgusted by some foods but not others?").

In the classroom, he is known to be a thought-provoking teacher who constantly inspires his student to reach for greater heights.
