About

Daniel is an occupational therapist and senior occupational therapy lecturer within the College of Healthcare Sciences at James Cook University, Australia.Daniel graduated as an occupational therapist from Newcastle University (Australia) in 1997. Since then he has worked in a variety of clinical, leadership and academic roles, within both Australia and the United Kingdom. He has a strong clinical interest is in cancer care and palliative care. He has worked in these fields for the majority of his career and authored / co-authored a number of textbook chapters and journal articles exploring the occupational therapy role within this practice field. Daniel completed an MSc (in Health Promotion) through King’s College (University of London) in 2007. Daniel's PhD research, completed in 2020, examined the process of role change at end-of-life.
